Little Black Dress

She had an intriguing piercing that drew attention to her face. The initial impression warranted a second look. She was stylishly dressed, subtly bejewelled and – there was a large green blob half-visible above one knee. Perhaps it was a maze, or an Aztec calendar. The multicoloured head of a dragon peered over one shoulder, its body concealed beneath her dress – the strap of which bisected the creature’s nose. If the body is a temple, she had decorated hers with graffiti and shrouded the result. Confident art, a statement hidden beneath hoardings – the contradiction played out in a little black dress.
